Participation in the Expo Exhibition and Conference for People of Determination in the Emirate of Dubai
The Omani Paralympic Committee participated in the Expo and Conference for Persons with Disabilities in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, during the period from 5-7 November 2019, based on the importance of identifying global developments in the field of caring for people with disabilities, and introducing the Sultanate’s efforts in the field of caring for this category. The Committee represented Akram Bin Saif Al-Maawali, Vice Chairman of the Committee, and Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Hinai, Secretary of the Committee.
The Committee is participating for the third time in this international event to be informed of the most important developments in research and innovations that benefit people with disabilities. Participation in this event is an opportunity to establish partnerships with suppliers and manufacturers of sports equipment that you constantly need in the Omani Paralympic Committee.
The Oman Paralympic Committee also held an exhibition that embodied the efforts of the Ministry of Sports Affairs and the Oman Paralympic Committee on the interest in sports for people with disabilities in the Sultanate and its role in providing development activities and programs and internal and external participation, in addition to introducing the Sultanate and promoting tourism for its tourism and environmental potentials through the promotional documents of the Ministry of Tourism.
Highlighting the role of groups of people with disabilities in sustainable development and the integrative role between individuals with disabilities and others, presenting the committee’s achievements at the Gulf, Arab and international levels, and holding side meetings with a number of officials of international associations and CEOs of companies and developers with the aim of creating a solid base of cooperation with them. During which to exchange experiences and ideas in an effort to advance the sport of people with disabilities in the Sultanate.
