About the forum:

The Omani Paralympic Committee organized the goal football tournament in its fourth edition and football for the blind in its first edition, with the participation of more than 40 blind people belonging to a group of educational institutions and branches of the Al Noor Association for the Blind in the Sultanate, at the gymnasium at the Gulf College in Al Maabilah in the Wilayat of Seeb. Paralympic Committee for the Advancement of Sports for the Disabled in General and Sports for the Visually Impaired in particular. The tournament included an arbitration course on the basics of goalball and its laws. This course aimed to prepare Omani referees who are familiar with the changing laws in this game.

At the end of the tournament, a ceremony was held to honor the participants and the organizers, under the patronage of Al-Ahnaf Al-Zubaidi, Director of Social Responsibility at the Oman Liquefied Gas Company.

It is worth mentioning that football for the blind is a Paralympic sport and it spread in the Sultanate as the first country in West Asia in 2017, within the framework of a program supervised by the Oman Paralympic Committee and funded by ENHANCE Company. The Sultanate is the best representation.

شاركت السلطنه لأول مره خليجيا في رياضه البوتشيا التي تنظمها مملكة البحرين خلال الفترة من 14_20 نوفمبر 2019م بمشاركة دول الخليج العربية والمملكة الأردنية الهاشمية لاتاحة أكبر عدد من الدول للتنافس وايضا لتطوير هذه الرياضه بشكل عام في الدول العربية وايضا لاتاحة الفرصة للاعبين المشاركين من تطوير مهاراتهم في جو رياضي تنافسي مما يمكنهم من مواصلة التدريب بعد ذلك..

     ومثل السلطنه فريق يتكون من ثلاث لاعبين ينتمون إلى مركز الأمان لشديدي الاعاقه وهم عبد الملك بن عبد الله الكندي، سلطان بن محمد الوهيبي، ابراهيم بن خميس اليحيائي والمدربه وداد بنت الحبيب ضيفلي وترأس الوفد المشارك الفاضل عدنان بن مبارك العويدي عضو اللجنه البارالمبيه العمانيه.

     وتعتبر هذه البطولة هي الظهور الأول وتعتبر البوتشيا من الرياضات النوعيه التي تختص في ممارستها الإعاقه الشديدة للشلل الدماغي، حيث حقق اللاعب سلطان بن محمد الوهيبي المركز الأول بالميدالية الذهبية فردي فئة BC3

The Sultanate participated for the first time in the Gulf in the sport of boccia organized by the Kingdom of Bahrain during the period from 14-20 November 2019 AD with the participation of the Arab Gulf states and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to allow the largest number of countries to compete and also to develop this sport in general in the Arab countries and also to provide the opportunity for the participating players to develop their skills in an atmosphere A competitive athlete, enabling them to continue training afterwards.

The Sultanate was represented by a team consisting of three players belonging to the Safety Center for the Severely Disabled: Abdul Malik bin Abdullah Al Kindi, Sultan bin Muhammad Al Wahaibi, Ibrahim bin Khamis Al Yahyai and coach Wedad Bint Al Habib Dhaifli. The delegation was headed by Adnan bin Mubarak Al Owaidi, a member of the Omani Paralympic Committee.

This tournament is the first appearance, and boccia is considered one of the specific sports that specializes in practicing the severe disability of cerebral palsy, where the player Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Wahaibi achieved first place in the gold medal in the individual category BC3

نبذة عن الملتقى:

نظمت اللجنة البارالمبية العمانية بطولة كرة الهدف في نسختها الرابعة وكرة القدم للمكفوفين في نسختها الأولى بمشاركة أكثر من 40 كفيفا ينتمون إلى مجموعة من المؤسسات التعليمية وافرع جمعية النور للمكفوفين بالسلطنة، بمقرالصالة الرياضية بكلية الخليج بمنطقة المعبيلة بولاية السيب، حيث تأتي تنظيم هذه البطولة ضمن إطار سعي اللجنة البارالمبية للرُقِي برياضات المعوقين عامة ورياضة ذوي الإعاقة البصرية خاصة. وتظمنت البطولة دورة تحكيم في أساسيات لعبة كرة الهدف وقوانينها وهدفت هذه الدورة إلى إعداد حكّام عمانيين مُلمّين بالقوانين المتغيرة في هذه اللعبة.

 وفي نهاية البطولة أقيم حفل تكريم للمشاركين والجهات المنظّمة وذلك تحت رعاية الأحنف الزُبيدي مدير المسؤولية الاجتماعية بالشركة العمانية للغاز المُسال. 

الجدير بالذكر تعتبر كرة القدم للمكفوفين رياضة بارالمبية وقد انتشرت في السلطنة كأول بلد في دول غرب آسيا سنة 2017 في إطار برنامج تشرف عليه اللجنة البارالمبية العمانية وتموله شركة ENHANCE ويأتي الهدف من تنظيم البطولة إلى خلق روح المنافسة بين الرياضيين المكفوفين وتنمية مهاراتهم ومواهبهم وتأهيلهم للمشاركات الخارجية لتمثيل السلطنة خير تمثيل.
