Participation in the International Basketball League in Morocco
In the context of giving the national teams the opportunity to gain skills and experience, the national wheelchair basketball team participated in the International Basketball League hosted by Marrakesh, Morocco during the period from June 24 to July 1, 2018, with the participation of the French, German, Moroccan, Algerian and Iraqi teams.
The delegation participating in the international basketball league was headed by Akram bin Saif Al-Maawali, Vice-Chairman of the Omani Paralympic Committee, along with national coach Yaqoub Al-Nadabi, his assistant Musa Al-Siyabi and physiotherapist Hani Al-Shamakhi, along with 12 players: Zaher bin Khalfan Al-Atabi, Younis bin Hammoud Al-Toubi and Hafez bin Salem Awlad. Ahmed, Ali bin Saeed Al Ghasini, Nabil bin Khamis Al Kindi, Fawzi bin Salem Al Ruqaishi, Salem bin Hamad Al Hashami, Muhammad bin Saif Al Habsi, Ashraf bin Rabie Al Khasibi, Ismail bin Suleiman Al Sayegh, Khamis bin Saeed Al Masoudi and Ahmed bin Khamis Al Ameri.
